Robert L. Johnson grew up in West Palm Beach, received his Associates of Arts Degree from Palm Beach Junior College in 1979 and Bachelor of Science Degree at Florida State University in 1981. While attending Palm Beach Junior College, he was on the Dean's List and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa fraternity. While attending Florida State University he was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity, was on the Dean's List and was a member of the Garnet and Gold Key Honor Society. He attended law school at Nova University where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1984.

Mr. Johnson began his practice with the Palm Beach County State Attorneys’ office where he was a prosecutor from 1985 until 1996 during which time he prosecuted murder and other major crime cases. Since leaving the State Attorney’s Office in 1996 he has handled a wide variety of civil litigation matters. Mr. Johnson has tried over 100 cases to verdict.

He is the third generation of his family to practice law in West Palm Beach. Mr. Johnson’s grandfather was one of the early pioneers of West Palm Beach. His father, Thomas H. Johnson, was a long time Circuit Court judge in Palm Beach County, who also served in the Florida Senate and as the State Attorney for Palm Beach County.

He is a Shareholder with the firm, a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and is licensed to practice law in all Florida state courts as well as the Federal District Court in the Southern District of Florida. He has been chosen by his peers as one of the Florida Legal Elite for 2010 and 2012. He has been appointed by the Florida Bar to serve on its grievance committee. He holds Martindale-Hubbell®'s AV Preeminent™ rating, which is the highest rating issued by that peer review service.

With over 33 years of litigation experience, Mr. Johnson focuses his practice on and enjoys the challenge of handling large exposure, catastrophic injury and complicated matters.
